ESP LTD EC-1000 Deluxe Series Electric Guitar Overview:

Right from the start, this guitar conjures up the Les Paul factor but quickly diverges into its own territory with the "unfurled flag" fret markers, sharp cutaway, wavy-top fashioned headstock, and a sexy slim profile which all point to the modern day shredding machine that it is.

One of the first things you will notice as you pick up the EC-1000 is the flawless action. The strings of the guitar will only be able to go as low as the highest fret on the fretboard, and ESP does an exceptional job of seating the frets properly for your shredding enjoyment.

It features an awesome neck profile as well; it's not too chunky that you will get slowed down, but is substantial enough that switching from heavy distorted power chords to single note arpeggios will feel comfortable and natural. You will find a solid set neck joint that won't get in your way when soloing on the upper notes, even when venturing up to the 24th fret.

ESP prides itself on making quality guitars, and you will find the EC-1000 to be no exception. From its flawless finish to its high-gloss lacquer, it simply has an all around magnificent build quality. You will find all the hardware to be solidly connected to the body, including the pickups that won't rattle around in their mounts.

The ESP LTD EC-1000 is a guitar that over-delivers. You could easily expect to pay much more than the asking price for this guitar. There are many more expensive models from different companies out there that offer slightly less in the craftsmanship department.

If you enjoy playing metal, this guitar sports a look that will catch any audience's eye. The body of the guitar delivers a classic style coupled with future thinking. It features a beveled carved top, single cut profile, and full neck and body binding. With all of the different finish options, you can find the EC-1000 that is exactly your style.

Even with over-the-top amounts of saturation from amp-and-pedal combinations, the guitar holds its own and won't produce any blurry, or hazy sounds. And that is something that not every guitar can stake claim to. If you are a dual-humbucker player, you should take a look at an EC-1000. If you are looking for a high-gain and high-speed heavy metal guitar, you would be hard-pressed to be disappointed by this guitar.

ESP LTD EC-1000 Deluxe Series Electric Guitar Reviews and Opinions:

"Quite possibly the most perfect guitar ever made" is a typical statement made by a variety of different reviewers that have purchased this guitar. One particular reviewer said, if they could they would give it a 1000/10, that's how much they liked this guitar. They said the quality is astounding. Just take a look at how many guitarists in all kinds of different bands use this guitar, and they use it stock!

To sum it up, this reviewer said that the EC-1000 is a Les Paul, but cooler looking because of the more dramatic cutaway and headstock. It has better pickups, and the paint jobs are more attractive, all at an unbelievable price.

This guitar was stated by one reviewer as being a "Metalmaniac's Dream." They felt that the features are fairly simple but they are some of the best quality you can find. It comes with a dual Humbucker set up, and the Sperzel locking' tuners Tonepros bridge. In their opinion, the guitar was ALMOST perfect. Everything was great except the G string was a little too short. After about half an hour of play, the string basically shot out of the guitar.

The string didn't snap, it did however shoot out of the tailpiece. It was too short to put back in again. This reviewer said that if you want an ideal metal guitar, but don't feel like dishing out over $1000, don't bother looking anywhere else. You will find everything you need in this guitar.

Another person stated that it is an absolutely great guitar. If you play hard rock or metal, this guitar is for you. Some prefer this guitar over the Les Pauls due to its looks, sound, and price. A few reviewers have said that if they could get another one of these or a Les Paul, they would truthfully go with this guitar. You should check one out, and by the time you see it you will already love it because it is just a gorgeous guitar. The pictures on the internet don't do it justice at all.

When it comes to sound, this guitar is very versatile. The pickups sound great even on the clean setting, and you can literally sound like any band from "Led Zeppelin" to "Slayer." The feel of the guitar has been considered by many to be very good; not too light and not too heavy, and it rests on you very securely.

One of the reviewers for this guitar stated that it is the "best value under a grand!" In all, the only area that they felt needed a little improvement was the quality. Three small problems were mentioned. One of the machine heads was apparently defective, although it was quickly repaired they said. It also took two months to arrive. And lastly, this reviewer felt that there just aren't enough hours in a day to play it!

Over all they have been extremely happy with the guitar and feel that it has an awesome sound and feel to it. Pictures simply don't do this guitar justice. It is one of the best looking guitars they have ever seen, with the inlays being unreal. In their opinion, it plays like a $2500 Les Paul!

With literally only a hand full of negative things that anyone had to say about this guitar, it seems that nearly everyone is extremely impressed with the EC-1000. Not only does it pack a punch, but it has great playability, and a price that goes far beyond expectations. If you are looking for a well priced metal guitar, this one is definitely worth checking into.
